Cultivating Consciousness An introduction to plant-based medicine

Cultivating Consciousness An introduction to plant-based medicine

Plant-based medicine is a term that is popping up everywhere.  From Michael Pollan’s Netflix series, “How to Change Your Mind” to Louie Schwartzberg’s “Fantastic Fungi.”  You may also have read about states legalizing the use of plant-based medicine to treat mental health issues, trauma, addiction or legal psychedelic retreats that are popping up globally.  And this is just the tip of the iceberg!

Through our panel discussion, we will explore what plant-based medicine is all about through two experts in the field.  Heather Lee is a retreat facilitator, therapist and one of the first Certified Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapists in the U.S.  Jonathan de Potter is the Founder of Behold Retreats, a bespoke wellness service that facilitates journeys of self-discovery and transformation, supported by the scientifically proven therapeutic and spiritual benefits of plant medicine.

Join us as we become more aware of what is going on inside us, inside others and in the world around us.  An enlightening way to begin the new year! A portion of the proceeds will benefit MAPS.

A New Beginning | A Fresh Face

Taking stock … of our faces.

The last two years have taught us a lot about ourselves. Especially our faces. We have spent more time looking at ourselves while on video conferencing than at any other time in our lives. Whether we were working or visiting with family and friends over zoom, it added another dimension to how we communicate with one another.

So, what has this experience taught us? What have our faces taught us?  Some of us were shocked by the way we looked on camera, somehow believing that we saw a different image in our mirror moments beforehand.

On April 26th from 6pm-8pm come take a journey with Dr. Naeemah Ruffin to explore our faces and embrace all that lies superficial and deep.

  • Learn how your face ages and techniques to naturally and non-invasively renew your skin and rejuvenate your face.

  • Gain a greater sense of awareness and appreciation of the role your facial muscles play in the aging process.

  • Learn how products containing natural and organic plant extracts can positively influence youthful gene expression.

  • Enjoy drinks, nibbles, networking plus tips and tools to achieve a youthful and ageless facial appearance for years to come!

Can’t wait to see your beautiful face  🙂

Event fee – $45 .  A portion of the event fee will be donated to the Ukrainian Emergency Appeal through People in Need.

Who Am I Now?

HOW TO TAKE STOCK OF 2020 AND MAKE 2021 YOUR BEST YEAR YET!

What does this time of change mean to you?

You may be asking yourself, “Who am I now in this time of change?” “What do I want to do next?”

The impact of Covid-19 on our lives and the economy, as well as national and global social and political unrest, have caused us all to sit back and reassess what is important to us in life. It has also given us the time to reflect. It may have changed our attitudes towards health, relationships, and career, whether to retire, or do something else. It has made us want to take stock of what we have learned and experienced in 2020 and how we can make 2021 the best year yet for ourselves and our families.

Maybe you already know what you want and are stuck or fearful. Your life can begin to change to the life you desire in just one hour!

Join us on Wed, March 10 from 6 – 7p for our next Mind Body Spirit Event with Jaye Smith, a Career/Life and Wellness coaching veteran, who will facilitate a discussion around what’s possible for YOU to get started on a plan with:

  • Taking stock – Who you are now

  • 3 key secrets of success

  • New ways to think about your situation and dreams

  • Tips to break through your own resistance and get on your path

DON’T MISS your chance to learn how you can turn these challenging times into a new, more authentic life for YOU.  We invite you to invite your friends.  Event fee is $20.  A portion of the proceeds will benefit HarlemDowling.org (supportive services to keep families together).
